Wanted / Ford 1935 16 inch wire wheels
« on: December 15, 2015 6:23 pm »
Hi,
I'm looking for a pair of 16 inch ford wire wheels. I thought I had a complete set, but when I took them out the other day to clean and paint I realized I've got two 1933-34 that are 17 inch. Drop me a line with what you have and want for it/them.
Thanks

Drop me a line with what you have. Thanks

Kindof what I thought, chevy pattern. I want to run some ford wheels I have (5x5 1/2) i see someone on ebay sells a brake kit for$450 I may have to go that way. Rear end looks just like one I have  (G bo dy I think), again pattern issue, so not sure what I'm using there either. I also have an old banjo, but it's from a 36?no juice brakes. So still working on a plan.

Looking good! I wish mine was that far along. What did you use for front axle and brake setup?

Nice weather and awsome turnout! A friend of mine registered around 12:30? and was like number 235 or something like that. May have to go back for the street dance tonight.

The tank has to be 28-29 it was all bolted together and complete when I got it. Still unable to post pics.

I checked the gas tank when I got home and that one is pretty tough to make out also, almost looked like " 8 2 30" or 2 30 or 2 2 30  I'll probably check it out better this weekend but it's pretty lightly stamped. The number on the frame appears to be five digits in length so probably early 28..

Tried to post pics again and it gives me some security risk error.. is there a size and format I should be uploading in?

it's a 28 or 29 I'm not sure, the number on top of the frame rails pretty pitted, I don't know if it'll ever be readable. The parts I picked up in Brainerd, a pillar, doors roof and misc stuff came from the 29 special coupe. I tried posting a couple pictures but it kept giving me an error message, maybe later..
Thanks

Hello everyone Thanks for allowing me into your group. My name is Steve and I'm building a model A coupe. I became aware of Suedes car club through Ross several years ago and thought of your group the other day while working on my car and surfing for some expertise. My "A" is pretty rough, picked it up I guess as a "coupester" awhile ago and haven't done anything with it. Nows the time!  I have a running 8ba and some 35 ford spokes for it. I also picked up some parts in Brainerd a couple weeks ago to put the "Coupe" back in the coupester. Hoping to get some needed suspension parts in the next few weeks. I know I have a ton of work to do but would like to have it out next summer.
Thanks...
