BTT50'S 2011
« on: March 13, 2011 7:34 pm »
Is anyone thinking about camping at 50's? In the linechaser they list a phone number 763-229-8972 to call to get a registration form. This number is for the North Campground. They also list 651-459-1030 to get on the list for the South campground. If you camped last year you are already on the list.

I got my form and sent it back two weeks ago for the south campground. I'm guessing that they may already be close to full, but call and find out. If you're interested in camping for the following year find someone that gets the form and make a copy and send in with theirs. That's how I got into the south one starting a few years ago. From then on you'll get your own form. Good idea to send it in right away. If you like to camp as a group send them all together.

The south campground sold out last year, but call the number and check. If nothing else I think they will send you a form to return and when you send it in keep you on a waiting list. A few people cancel every year and can until a pretty late date and get their money back. Worth a try.

The south one is close to the swap meet and has an easy exit.

Taking the `40, staying at the Roseville Super 8 and paying through the ass. Staying 3 nights, hope not as many tornado's this year.

Have you decided yet??

FWIW I skipped it a couple years....and I missed it. There's just no where else you can see as many cars, venders and everything else as BTT50s.  Yes, it's a zoo at times, but it just doesn't get any better.  And the best way to do it is camp in either one of the campgrounds.

Gone are the good old days when they only used Machinery Hill, or later the north half of the fair grounds. But once a year I'll put up with the BS and just enjoy it as best I can.
